"Beer Barrel Polka" znana także jako Roll Out the Barrel,to piosenka która ogromną popularność odniosła podczas II wojny światowej.Skomponował ją czeski kompozytor Jaromir Vejvoda w 1927r. Eduard Ingris był autorem pierwszej aranżacji po tym jak Vejvoda poprosił go o pomoc.Na początku wykonywano ją jako utwór instrumentalny pod tytułem Modřanská polka (Polka of Modřany).Pierwszy tekst do tej melodii napisał Vaclav Zeman w 1934r-Skoda lásky (Wasted Love).
Polka zyskiwała popularność na świecie;w 1938r Will Glahé sprzedał milion kopii niemieckiej wersji pt.Rosamunde. Shapiro Bernstein opublikował piosenkę pod tytułem "Beer Barrel Polka" rok póżniej.Autorami angielskiego tekstu są Lew Brown i Wladimir Timm [1939r].Utwór w tym czasie był nagrywany przez wielu renomowanych wykonawców- Andrews Sisters, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Benny Goodman, i Billie Holiday.Póżniej stała się wizytówką pianisty Liberace.
Podczas II wojny światowej były tworzone jej wielojęzyczne wersje i zyskała ogromną popularność wśród żołnierzy po obu stronach okopów.Co ciekawe,były minister spraw zagranicznych,Hans-Dietrich Genscher uważa ją za utwór niemiecki.
